Found in search — and in AI answers.

Technical SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): the work that gets your business found in Google and cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews. Start with the AI-Search Readiness Audit — £495 fixed, delivered inside a week.

Search is no longer just ten blue links. A growing share of buyers ask an AI tool and take the first answer — this month one of my clients took an order from a customer who found them through ChatGPT, so this has stopped being theoretical. I work across both: traditional technical SEO that keeps you ranking, and GEO that makes your business legible to the AI systems forming opinions about it. This site is built on the same principles it sells — you’re reading an example of it.

What’s the AI-Search Readiness Audit — and what does it cost?

£495, fixed, delivered inside a week. What you get:
  • Where you stand today — whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews can find you, and what they say when they do, for the searches that matter to your business.
  • Whether AI crawlers can actually read your site — and what’s blocking them.
  • Your llms.txt, structured data and entity signals, checked properly.
  • A page-level review of how citable your key pages are.
  • A prioritised fix list, in plain English, that you can hand to anyone — including me.
Most specialist audits like this run £950–£3,000 and take three to five weeks. Mine’s faster because I’ve built the tooling — and I audit my own site with it, which is how I know it works. If you’d like me to do the fixes afterwards, that’s quoted separately and honestly. And this site itself is the working example.

What’s the difference between SEO and GEO?

SEO gets you found in search results. GEO gets your business understood, trusted and cited by AI systems. They share a spine — clean technical foundations, clear content, real authority — but the formatting and signals differ. You want both; one feeds the other.

What does the work actually involve?

  • Technical SEO — site architecture, Core Web Vitals, sitemaps, canonical health and structured data.
  • GEO — answer-first content, question-based headings, JSON-LD schema, and an llms.txt so AI crawlers can read you.
  • Entity clarity — making your name, location and services consistent everywhere, so AI systems trust who you are.
  • Authority signals — the slower work of being mentioned and corroborated across the web.

Can you actually get me into AI Overviews and ChatGPT answers?

I can give you the best possible chance, honestly. AI visibility is volatile and nobody controls it. What I can do is structure your content the way these systems prefer to read it, fix what’s blocking them, and measure what changes. I’d rather under-promise here than sell certainty that doesn’t exist.

How long does it take to see a difference?

Weeks, not days. AI systems re-crawl and re-weight over time. The technical groundwork can go in quickly; the visibility shift follows as the wider web catches up.

Do I need to rewrite all my content for AI search?

Probably not. Most content that reads clearly for people already reads well for AI systems. The gap is usually structural — no direct answers to questions, inconsistent entity signals, missing schema — not the words themselves. I’d look at what you have before recommending any rewriting; there’s usually less to do than you’d think.

How do you measure whether any of this is working?

For traditional SEO: Google Search Console — clicks, impressions and position for the queries that matter. For AI visibility it’s less precise: testing whether your business surfaces in AI answers for relevant queries and tracking whether citations appear. I’ll be honest about what’s measurable and what’s harder to pin down.

Will you tell me if SEO isn’t the right spend for me?

Yes. If your site has a conversion problem, spending on traffic makes it worse. If you’re in a market where the buying journey doesn’t start with a search, SEO is probably the wrong tool. I’ll say so — same as I would with ads. There’s no point building traffic to something that won’t convert.
