Shopify and Shopify Plus, built to scale.

I design, build and migrate Shopify and Shopify Plus stores — from a first launch to large multi-brand catalogues. Custom Liquid themes, clean product data, and migrations that keep the rankings you already have. Built directly, with no agency layer.

I’ve delivered Shopify at both ends of the scale: turnkey stores for independent retailers, and ecommerce for global watch brands during my time as Global Ecommerce Development Manager at Movado Group. Whatever the size, the principles don’t change — clean code, accurate product data, and a store you can actually run once it’s live.

How a migration runs
01 Legacy platform
02 Map every URL
03 Carry data & redirects
04 Shopify, live
Products, customers & order history intact · rankings kept, the move invisible to Google.

What Shopify work do you do?

Three things, mostly — new builds, store setup, and migrations.
  • Design & development — custom Liquid themes built to your brand, not dropped onto a bought template. Checkout extensions, app integrations, and B2B or wholesale storefronts on Shopify Plus.
  • Store setup — the turnkey route: configuration, payment gateways, shipping rules and the essential apps, so you have a stable storefront ready to take orders.
  • Migrations — moving off WooCommerce, Magento or a legacy platform with products, customers and order history intact.

Can you handle large or complex catalogues?

Yes. I’ve worked with catalogues of 5,000+ SKUs and kept the data clean — structured metafields, consistent attributes, and EPOS or ERP feeds where stock and pricing have to stay in sync. If your products come from a supplier feed or a POS system, I build the pipeline that keeps them accurate rather than updating them by hand.

Will moving to Shopify hurt my search rankings?

Not if it’s done properly. The real risk in any replatform is broken URLs and lost redirects. I map the old structure to the new one before launch and keep your structured data in place, so the move is invisible to Google and to your customers.

Do you stay involved after launch?

Usually. Most clients stay on for hosting and maintenance. But the store is built to be handed over — documented, no plugin lock-in — so you’re never tied to me by default.

How long does a Shopify build take?

Depends what’s in it, and I’ll give you an honest estimate before anything starts. A store setup is a few days. A custom theme build is typically three to six weeks. A migration from an existing platform — with full URL mapping and data carry-over — takes longer, because getting it right matters more than getting it fast. Timeline drives cost, and I’ll tell you plainly what both look like for your project.

Can you work with my existing theme, or does it have to be a rebuild?

Depends on the theme. If it’s well-structured — one of the major Shopify themes, or a clean custom build — I can extend or modify it. If it’s a heavily customised template with several layers of conflicting overrides, a rebuild is usually faster and cheaper over time. I’ll look at what you have and give you a straight answer.
